Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how MJ Metriza handles personal data received through this website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: November 2026
01Data controller
MJ Metriza, Rua Bartolomeu Dias, 13, 2760-013 Caxias, Portugal. For any question about personal data, contact us at geral@mjmetriza.pt.
02Personal data processed
This website has no client area or client database, and does not collect data for analytics or advertising. The only personal data we receive is what you voluntarily send us through the contact form:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number and company, if provided
- The content of your message
03Purpose and legal basis
The data is processed solely to respond to your request for information or a quote. Processing is based on the consent given when you submit the form and, where applicable, on pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
Your data is not used for marketing purposes and is not sold or passed on to third parties.
04Data retention
The form forwards your message to our email inbox and does not store it on the website. Messages are kept in that inbox only for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your request.
After that period, or sooner if you ask, messages are deleted, unless they must be kept to comply with a legal obligation or to perform a contract.
05Service providers
The website and email rely on hosting and email service providers, which process data only as far as needed to provide those services. The hosting provider may log technical access data, such as IP addresses, for security and service operation. To prevent abuse, the form uses a temporary counter linked to a technical identifier derived from the IP address, which is deleted shortly afterwards.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, subject to the safeguards required by the GDPR. Your data is not disclosed to anyone else unless required by law.
06Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request its rectification or erasure
- Request restriction of processing or object to it
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out
07Exercising your rights and complaints
To exercise these rights, send your request to geral@mjmetriza.pt. We will respond within one month, as provided for in the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, CNPD).
